MY SERVICES

At my clinic in Malvern I offer a variety of treatment options combining Osteopathy, Traditional Acupuncture and Tuina Chinese Massage together with Lifestyle (YangSheng) advice and a rehabilitation programme involving exercise and Yoga.

Countrywide I offer a variety of training services, including CPD courses for Healthcare Professionals and am approved to deliver First Aid courses for the Workplace and for the home

Acupuncture and Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM)

Traditional Acupuncture is one of the longest established forms of healthcare in the world and practitioners believe in the underlying principle that illness and pain occur when the free flow of Qi (or vital energy) is interrupted. There are many reasons for this including emotional and physical stress, poor nutrition, infection or physical injury.

Classical Chinese Medicine involves treating the patterns of disease and dysfunction.  Diagnosis is highly personalised and involves careful consideration of how symptoms inter-relate and how seemingly unconnected symptoms weave together into a "Pattern of Disharmony"

Traditional Acupuncture uses ultra-thin sterile needles at specific points throughout the body to promote the flow of Qi and physical healing.  Acupuncture is often used together with exercise and education, designed to relieve pain and aid you in your recovery.

Osteopathy and Western Manual Therapy

Physical therapy is an excellent way of easing discomfort and pain. Treatment is hands-on and involves skillful manipulation and/ or mobilisation of the joints, massage and stretching of soft tissues to restore proper motion to restricted joints and tight muscles.

These restrictions could be caused by repetitive motions from work or home, or from staying is one position for a period of time.  Tight muscles can lead to dysfunctional joints; likewise dysfunctional joints could lead to tight muscles.

Massage and mobilisation are often used together with exercise and helpful advice, designed to relieve pain, aid relaxation and help you in your recovery.

Tuina Chinese Medical Massage & Yoga

Tuina uses the same theory as Acupuncture, but uses manual techniques rather than needles to effect change and is usually undertaken with clothes on.

Tuina practitioners are skilled at both manipulating joints and muscles to relieve musculoskeletal pain and stiffness (like arthritis and sciatica) and directing the flow of Qi within the body to help with conditions like insomnia.

Depending on the style of Tuina, the treatment can vary from a vigorous deep-style massage to subtle energetic treatments.  These techniques are often used together with exercise and helpful advice, designed to relieve pain, reduce stress and aid you in your recovery.

All the services you need,
all in one place.

I offer a wide range of services to meet every type of need.  I will tailor make a plan and, in discussion with you, we will determine the most appropriate treatment modality to use.
Taking no action for a clinical condition can lead to medication dependency, (which can have its own serious consequences), a worsening of your symptoms and / or not being able to undertake activities you once enjoyed..

Training Services

General First aid training

We are able to deliver First Aid at Work (FAW), Emergency First Aid (EFAW) and bespoke first aid training - either at your premises (workplace / clinic etc) or at your home (for family members and friends).

Alternatively we hold 1-day Emergency First Aid at work courses at venues around the country (including London, Bristol, Malvern and Leamington Spa.

Due to current COVID-19 guidelines to minimise face-to-face contact, whilst delivering the mandatory practical elements as required by the Health & Safety executive (HSE)  we are delivering the majority of our training via the blended learning format.  This is delivered via a 1/2 day online interactive zoom session followed by a 1/2 day practical session.

As a registered paramedic I appreciate that this is an important life skill and, with over 30 years of teaching this subject, you can be sure of the quality of training and my clinical competency.  For further details please look at our sister company Holos Healthcare & Training Ltd  by clicking here.
